Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11
11 “‘For I myself well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward YOU,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give YOU a future and a hope.

compare to Bible Version of NIV Jeremiah 29:11 the word we need to take note is "PROSPER". God want to prosper us.

God is our solution, not problem, we need to get ourselves off the negative thoughts. If we meditate on Jeremiah 29:11 and believe God is our solution, we will really do well. But if you think that He is your problem, how can your problem can get solve.

<DEFEATED THOUGHTS> ~ Before you start, you lose, why???

~ Instead of thinking how lousy will you do later, you should think how well you can do!
~ Today we going to change and go to new level.

Matthew chapter 14 verse 25-32
25 But in the fourth watch period of the night he came to them, walking over the sea.
26 When they caught sight of him walking on the sea, the disciples were troubled, saying: “It is an apparition!” And they cried out in their fear.
27 But at once Jesus spoke to them with the words: “Take courage, it is I; have no fear.”
28 In reply Peter said to him: “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you over the waters.” 29 He said: “Come!” Thereupon Peter, getting down off the boat, walked over the waters and went toward Jesus.
30 But looking at the windstorm, he got afraid and, after starting to sink, he cried out: “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately stretching out his hand Jesus caught hold of him and said to him: “You with little faith, why did you give way to doubt?”
32 And after they got up into the boat, the windstorm abated.

Matthew chapter 11 verse 28-30
28 Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU.
29 Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls.
30 For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”

-Peter never doubt Jesus when Jesus call him over to the boat, that's why he go to Jesus, because Jesus is already in the sea, but Peter doubt himself, that's why he start to sink!

1) Not doubting yourself, but step out and trust God what He has for us

2) Change the way we think as a church how we help others to grow

- conceive child is easy, brought them up is hard. Even now technology is so advance, that when the woman take a pill, she can deliver the baby without pain.
- Is also the same as get people to come church and get save is easy, but to brought them up and to help them grow is hard.
- Is bringing them up important??? Can you bring out your 3 kid to a shopping centre and put them aside and say " ho ho ho... I got no kids" No! Same as bringing them up.

There is a boy in the seashore with the father, and the boy saw the starfish, and he like it, then the father call the little boy go and take it, then the little boy go to the starfish, then run back to father, father ask "what happen", the little boy didn't answer anything, then the father encourage the son go and take, so the little boy ran over and go to the starfish again, and this time take a look at the starfish for a while and run back to the father. Again the father was thinking, is ok and can get it what, why the son scared, so the little tell the father, "my hand is full or seashell".

Moral: Sometime we hold too much of good things but miss out the BEST THINGS!

3) Change the way we look at our giving

"shema" is a center piece of prayer for the Jewish to pray when come to morning and evening.
something like this: "love the Lord your God with all your strength and . . . "

What God want is our heart, not empty ritual.

FLOWER: When you buy a flower for your wife. which one of the following sentence will you say:
1- I saw the sales girl can't finish selling, so I support her and buy for you loh....
2- I think is my duty to buy for you as a husband, so I buy loh...
3- I love you, you are so sweet and lovely, I just want to love you day by day!

Come on! of course not the 1 & 2 right? So is the same as God, He want our heart and not all the gift, we can give the gift, and without the heart, everything is meaningless!

Psalm chapter 50 verse 12
12 If I were hungry, I would not say it to you;For to me the productive land and its fullness belong.

Isaiah chapter 1 verse 23
23 Your princes are stubborn and partners with thieves. Every one of them is a lover of a bribe and a chaser after gifts. For a fatherless boy they do not render judgment; and even the legal case of a widow does not get admittance to them.

We give tithing, offering and building fund is not just to build building and for market investment, but we are building lives! Today what City Harvest have is what God want us to be 19years ago when we start! To give and tithe faithfully. We give money not for the ministry can run, but is the covenant we have with God, and He will never short change us when we give! Amen.

If your church don't call you to TITHE, YOU are losin alot of benefit from God. So when your church call you to TITHE, or when you know you should TITHE, please TITHE and go and TITHE man! Experience God blessing, test Him in respect. And when we give the 10percent, He will bless our 90percent. I'm not saying to only the City Harvester but also to other church! When you tithe, God will open heaven blessing for your church. Amen!

To give tithe, PRINCIPLE is: We put God first and acknowledge Him.

- Friends! We really have a part to play and to reach out to the unchurch! We need to help our leaders and to share their Vision!
